Disclaimer

Effective Date: 23 April 2026  |  Jurisdiction: England

Please read this Disclaimer carefully before using the SyncYourCloud.io platform, tools, assessments, reports, or advisory services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using any part of the Services you confirm that you have read, understood, and accepted this Disclaimer in full.

1. Informational Purposes Only

All content, outputs, reports, assessments, recommendations, runbooks, architecture diagrams, cost models, and tool-generated artefacts published or made available through SyncYourCloud.io are provided for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute, and should not be relied upon as, professional legal, financial, regulatory, tax, compliance, or technical advice.

Sync Your Cloud is not a law firm, financial services firm, or regulated compliance body. Nothing on this platform creates a solicitor–client, financial adviser–client, or equivalent professional relationship between you and Sync Your Cloud.

2. Financial Services Regulation

Sync Your Cloud is not authorised or regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) or any other financial services regulator. The Services do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, or a regulated payment service under the Financial Services and Markets Act 2000 (FSMA) or the Payment Services Regulations 2017.

If you require regulated financial advice, you must seek guidance from an appropriately FCA-authorised firm. References to payment processing, acquiring, or payment infrastructure on this platform are technical and architectural in nature only.

3. PCI DSS and Regulatory Compliance

Tool outputs relating to PCI DSS v4.0, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or any other standard or regulation are indicative gap analyses only. They are based on inputs you provide and do not constitute a formal audit, assessment, certification, or attestation of compliance.

  • Only a qualified PCI DSS Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) can issue a Report on Compliance (RoC) or Attestation of Compliance (AoC).
  • Sync Your Cloud tool outputs do not substitute for engagement with a QSA.
  • Compliance status may change as your infrastructure, scope, or applicable standards evolve. Outputs should be reviewed regularly.
  • Sync Your Cloud accepts no liability for regulatory fines, penalties, or enforcement actions arising from reliance on platform outputs.

4. AI-Generated and Automated Outputs

Some features of the platform use artificial intelligence, machine learning, or rule-based automation to generate recommendations, risk scores, runbooks, or architectural guidance. You acknowledge that:

  • AI outputs may contain errors, omissions, or inaccuracies.
  • Outputs are generated based on the information you provide and may not reflect your complete infrastructure, regulatory context, or operational circumstances.
  • No AI output should be implemented in a production payment environment without independent expert review.
  • Sync Your Cloud does not warrant the accuracy, completeness, or fitness for purpose of any AI-generated content.

5. Third-Party Services and AWS

References to Amazon Web Services (AWS), Stripe, Adyen, and other third-party platforms are for informational purposes only. Sync Your Cloud is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an authorised reseller of these services unless explicitly stated. Pricing estimates, service quotas, and feature availability referenced in tools are subject to change by the respective provider and may not reflect current terms.

Terraform, CloudFormation, and other infrastructure-as-code artefacts generated by the platform are provided as starting templates only. You are solely responsible for reviewing, testing, and validating any infrastructure code before deployment into any environment.

6. No Guarantee of Outcomes

Sync Your Cloud makes no representations or warranties, express or implied, that use of the Services will result in:

  • Cost savings or specific AWS spend reductions
  • Achievement of any compliance certification or regulatory approval
  • Improved payment authorisation rates, latency, or reliability
  • Prevention of security incidents, data breaches, or payment fraud
  • Successful implementation of any architectural recommendation
Results depend on your organisation's specific infrastructure, team capability, and execution. Past results described in case studies or marketing materials are not indicative of future outcomes.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law:

  • Sync Your Cloud shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, loss of profit, loss of data, loss of goodwill, regulatory fines, or business interruption.
  • Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the total fees paid by you to Sync Your Cloud in the three (3) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
  • Nothing in this Disclaimer limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

8. Seek Independent Professional Advice

Before making any significant technical, architectural, financial, or compliance decision based on outputs from this platform, you should seek independent advice from qualified professionals including, where appropriate:

  • A PCI DSS Qualified Security Assessor (QSA)
  • An FCA-authorised financial adviser
  • A qualified legal practitioner in the relevant jurisdiction
  • A certified AWS or cloud solutions architect
  • Your organisation's information security team or CISO

9. External Links

The platform may contain links to third-party websites, documentation, or resources. These links are provided for convenience only. Sync Your Cloud does not endorse, control, or accept responsibility for the content, privacy practices, or availability of any linked third-party site.

10. Intellectual Property

All platform content, tool logic, generated templates, scoring methodologies, and branding are the intellectual property of Sync Your Cloud. Tool outputs generated during your session are licensed to you for internal use only. You may not republish, resell, or distribute outputs without prior written consent.
